Important Update: New Options for A La Carte and Second Meals

Dear Families,

We are excited to announce an update to our School Nutrition Program that will provide more flexibility and options for our students!

Starting February 2, 2026, we will allow students at the Middle School, High School, and GMTCC to purchase a la carte items and second helpings at both breakfast and lunch.

To be clear, these extra options available for purchase are IN ADDITION to the free breakfast and lunch meals currently offered to students.

What’s Changing?

Students will now have the option to purchase the following items:

• Freshly Baked Items: Muffins, cinnamon rolls, and specials available for $2.50 each.
• Second Entree Items: (Example: pizza, pasta, salad, wraps, sandwiches, and more) available for $3.00.
• Entire Second Meal: $3.00 for breakfast and $4.75 for lunch.

How to Pay & Manage Accounts

To purchase these items, students can charge them to their school meal accounts or pay with cash. Please note: Students will not be able to charge these items if they have a negative balance. Students must have the necessary funds available on their account or have cash in hand at the time of purchase.

We encourage families to use linqconnect.com to manage these funds and stay up to date on balances.

Quick Start Guide for LINQ Connect:

1. Register: Visit linqconnect.com and click "Register" to create your free account.
2. Link Your Student: Search for Lamoille North and add your student using their name and date of birth.
3. Set Customizable Alerts: Go to the "Settings" or "Notifications" section. Here, you can customize a low-balance reminder (e.g., set it to notify you when the account balance drops to $10.00) so you always know when it's time to add funds. This is the best way to ensure your student always has the funds needed for extra items.
4. Add Funds: You can make one-time payments or set up recurring autopay to ensure your student's account is always ready.

Important Reminders:

• First-Come, First-Served: Second helpings are available only after students have gone through the regular line and are subject to availability until they are gone.
• No Negative Balances: As noted above, a la carte items and seconds cannot be charged if an account is overdrawn or has insufficient funds.
• Eligibility: These new options are currently available ONLY for Middle School, High School, and GMTCC students.
