LEARN CONSTRUCTION BY BUILDING
Construction Technology gives students hands-on experience in multiple phases of residential construction. Students work on real building projects while developing skills in framing, roofing, siding, finishing, and other aspects of residential construction. They also gain experience working alongside other trades and visiting commercial construction sites.

Through hands-on building projects, Construction Technology students learn how residential structures come together from the ground up while developing the skills, accuracy, and safe work practices expected in the construction industry.

Construction Technology students develop these professional habits while working with real tools, materials, building plans, and construction projects.

Construction Technology is an active, hands-on program for students interested in building, working with tools, and seeing the results of their work take shape.
Students should be prepared to:
- Work comfortably with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Use customary and metric measurements
- Apply basic geometry
- Read and understand technical material at approximately a 10th-grade level
- Perform physical work daily in classroom and construction settings
- Use both fine and gross motor skills
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Work safely around power tools and loud equipment
- Work safely on ladders up to 10 feet
